A rare piece of art, or a rare automobile? Here’s your chance to add both to your collection at once.
After designing the livery for the BMW M3 GT2 that raced in the 2010 Le Mans 24, renowned American sculptor Jeff Koons applied his art to 99 examples of the 2023 BMW M850i xDrive.
The striking, comic book-inspired exterior paint is noted to have been applied by hand, with the interior featuring custom red and blue elements.
Currently showing only 58 miles, the BMW is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Jeff Koons and BMW CEO Oliver Zipse.
Find this 2023 BMW 8 X Jeff Koons Sedan going up for auction from Mecum on January 18, 2025.
Terrible 🤮 Could have been achieved with a wrap. I love art cars. This is not what I envision when I picture BMW and Art.
And, some how, the interior is worse than the exterior. To think, Some poor schmo paid $350k for a knockoff Warhol and the privilege of not driving it.
Wonder how much of a loss they'll book when it crosses the block next month.

I love art cars, too. This one does seem to miss a bit, but it does have Mr. Koons name attached to it. Maybe Mr. Koons should stick to the balloon animals, though.
