For anyone who played Gran Turismo as a child, the now iconic blue and white Calsonic livery needs little introduction.

While the Calsonic colors most famously graced the sides of the R32-chassis Skyline GT-R, they were first applied to this R31-chassis Skyline GTS-R.

Campaigned in the Japanese Touring Car Championship for two years, the Skyline achieved two top-five finishes in 1988 and a race win in 1989 at Nishi-Sendai Hi-Land Raceway.

The car has been in a private collection for the past thirty or so years. In 2023, a NISMO engineer rebuilt the RB20DET-R engine, and in 2024, the bodyshell was restored to its current condition.

Find this 1987 Nissan Skyline 'Type HR31' GTS-R NISMO Group A for auction from Bonhams | Cars with an estimated value of $200,000-$275,000.
