Since you guys seemed to enjoy reading about the Drift E-Type and the incredible fabrication that went into building that car, you haven't seen anything yet.

Think you're a good fabricator? Maybe a good welder? How about a good body work guy?

Well, take a look at what this guy is capable of!!!!

That guy is a god.

I wonder how many hours he's got in that??

Okay... Where does one find a rotted out 2000GT? That's a seriously nice piece of work.

I also want to see more of the HY Van he has in the background.

Bork, even my day dreams aren't that adventurous. The Toyota 2000GT is ripe for the new sub 100 per year replica law with a modern powertrain, especially if someone did a 007 convertible one.

Did the frame look Lotus-esque to anyone else? Did Toyota have a history of making like that?

Holy wow. Some unbelievable fabrication skill and attention to detail right there. Check out the other 2000gt restoration he did as well... Not as crazy as a ground-up aluminum build, but still painfully detailed.

There's a guy here in Connecticut who is building an Aluminum Corvette.

No answers, but I thought the exact same thing.

Wow...I'd have to leave it in bare aluminum. A true work of art.

I do seem to remember Toyota using an Elan for inspiration on the chassis.

When I used to vintage race at Laguna Seca, there was always one spectator with an AC Cobra in polished (and presumably clear lacquered) aluminum! Imagine cleaning the fingerprints off it all the time!

I believe the guy mentioned in the original post is Shin Yosikawa. He calls his command of the language "Shinglish" but his body hammer speaks fluent Italian. He learned his craft at Zagato. Shin also does really cool cutaway drawings which he sells at Auitobooks-Aerobooks in Burbank, CA.

Curious what the yellow car in the background is. I don't think it's an Isuzu Impulse or Lotus Excel. So what is that thing?

Amazing metalwork.

Those cars are way smaller than they look. There's one locally and it's about the size of an MGB.

I have always had a dark urge to put this spit shine on an airstream. The AC Cobra polished is amazing.

Wow. I though they were at least the size of a 240Z. Also, I had no idea they were body on frame.

That is one amazing fabrication job.

No idea...your guesses match my first instincts, but neither is right. There is a badge on the bottom of the B pillar that looks like "22" or more likely, "2+2"
