Whatever happenned to the Cars and Coffee updates/updater? I also checked out the C & C website and apparently there is a C & C event in Omaha? That is only 3 hours from me, so I might go check it out sometime in the Spring if its still going. Anyone else interested/near Omaha?

Cars and Coffee is now in Irvine, Las Vegas, Omaha and Jacksonville and I think even the Netherlands. Check out http://www.carsandcoffee.info/

The original Irvine venue is still the winner when it comes to sheer volume and variety of spectacular cars every week. "Max" usually posts good weekly pix on their forum and also at http://www.cncpics.com If you're ever in SoCal on a Saturday morning you really have to make a visit.

"Sideache" used to post pix here but hasn't lately. He shows up at the Irvine venue in a light blue RHD Mini named Angus with luggage rack on ther roof.

I noticed in the pix from Jacksonville on Nov. 8th that there's a Volvo 122 that looks a lot like like the old GRM project car. Could it be? http://www.carsandcoffee.info/forum/showthread.php?t=4325

We have a micro C&C here on Whidbey Island in the parking lot of Gerry's Kitchen in Freeland, first Saturday of every month, 9-11 a.m. Average turnout is maybe ten cars, but some folks never bring the same one twice, so it stays interesting.

I'll try to organize some pics...

We also have an event brewing in Central Florida: http://www.orlandoautomotiveclub.com/cars_and_cafe.html

It's mostly later-models cars--Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, etc.--but anything cool is welcome.

The Irvine gathering is amazing. When I was there I saw a Ford RS200, Bugatti Veyron and three Vectors. Those are just cars you don't see every day.

We had a pretty nice gathering in Orlando this past weekend. I'll try to find a link to the photos.

There’s trouble brewing in paradise. Seems there have been way too many “normal” cars (normal for SoCal anyway) showing up lately at Cars and Coffee Irvine and crowding the display lot. Apparently legions of ordinary Bimmers, Audis, Mercedes and tuner Hondas, are showing up early and crowding the lot and consequently limiting space for the neat vintage stuff. So the organizers have decreed that starting this Saturday morning only pre-1978 cars and so-called “special classic” cars will be allowed into the lot at Mazda headquarters. That’ll be difficult for the organizers to police so it should be an interesting standoff come this Saturday morning.

We have a similar situation here. A Cars and Coffee gathering every first Sunday of the month. Some of the vintage guys are complaining that there are too many newer vehicles and we need to do someting about it. Certainly, this will be impossible to enforce, as many newer vehicles are Lambos, Ferrari's, etc. and that certainly adds to the eclecticness of the gathering.

The event used to be every Saturday morning but some of the shop owners complained about the cars taking up too many spots and their customers were left out, so the event was moved to Sunday.
