Original mini cooper!
Awesome.
I almost bought one for vintage racing, but my wife said something about clown car seeing as I'm 6.2. I love watching them race.
Specially when they are harassing a bigger car like a swam of bees.!
heh
In reply to Tommy Suddard:
Point of order, point of order. By simply posting "Mini" he did not specify current or original "Mini." I know the name of the magazine, and topics covered, but...this is British. Roberts Rules of Order and all. Should be a fun car to play with. Yes, Andre, always fun to see them harass the bigger, more powerful cars. Their results were yhrown out of the Monte Carlo Rally because they were so quick. Still...
Are you calling my classic intensions into question?
How dare you insult me with such accusations.
heh
The "New Mini" is fine and all, but hardly worthy of the name.
In all seriousness T-shirt is in the mail and I'll proudly wear it when I'm at Mosport.
A.
Yes, we found an original (real) Tartan Red 67 S, that has the original engine in pieces and hasn't been driven for thirty years.
It needs everything and a few things are missing, but it does have the brake servo, twin fuel tanks, correct serial number on the original engine and all the other S stuff. It came with only two of the original 4.5" slotted wheels and a full set of 6" wide Cosmic wheels.
Andre' do you want a hat or a T and in what size? Assuming you are a current subscriber, we should have your address.
Majorie has already taken care of me Tim thanks.
So what are your plans for the Mini?
Rally spec it?
flyinlow, Andre guessed "Mini" as opposed to "MINI' the modern version. Your point of order is denied ! I used to have a 1275 powered Mini, with twin SUs and an LCB exhaust. What a riot to go ripping around in ! Next best thing to a street legal go-kart.
While that certainly is a cool car, particularly with all of the cool kit you listed, it is another Brit. /yawn
I understand that you couldn't resist a chance at such a nice find.
I was hoping for something a little more, um, Italian.
Please don't misunderstand. I love the magazine and I am on this site daily. I also like Minis. Some of my best friends have Minis.
Anyway, I know a lot of the classic sports car hobby world revolves around a small island in the north Atlantic. I get that, but occasionally, I'd like a little Mediterranean cuisine.
In reply to KaptKaos:
Yes, and there are many 'restaurants' that serve an incredible and diverse array of Mediterranean cuisine.
No way in a real '67 Cooper S. That would not do good things for its value. That is something that should really only be done to 70's standard minis.
We do have the saga of the 1968 Fiat Spider we just put online as a project car. Updates are coming soon to what we just did. New dash and electronic ignition.
Next comes paint and one new rocker panel.
