After lurking for a bit I have decided to join up... it was actually the number of Triumph GT6 avatars I saw (two!).

I just finally brought home a 1969 Triumph GT6 Mk2 RHD to join up with my 1965 Land Rover IIa. (The Landy had a fit and leaked all over the place - oh, wait, it always does that.)

Anyway, the GT6 will undergo a long restoration process. It is in pretty good shape considering it was a UK import. I am still trying to track the history but I know it has been in the Phoenix, AZ, area since at least 1989. I believe it came from California before that. I would really like to find who it was that brought it over from the UK. It does still have the UK reg plate on the front and I have found out that it was originally sold in the greater London area.

I look forward to being able to add my limited knowledge and wry sense of humor to the forum.

Cheers, y'all,

Tad

Welcome, Tad. There's quite a few GT6s roaming around here. In particular, Andre has a really nice one. Check "Reader Rides" for more. Also, Tim's getting started on his Group 44 GT6, so watch for updates on that.

I have been watching the Group 44 stuff, that was my lurking! I really hoped I would go out to mine and find that my car came from Group 44. But, no, it is just an old stock GT6.

It is RHD however and I really can wait to go on a drive with my dog in the "drivers" seat.
