Indeed, it’s a record, according to RM Sotheby’s. This 1962 Ferrari 330 LM / 250 GTO by Scaglietti sold for $51,705,000, to be exact. That makes it the most valuable Ferrari ever sold at auction, per the auction house.

The GTO had a lot going for it, besides being a Ferrari from the golden age of sports cars.

For that price, you could have over 1800 Mazda ND Miatas OR 872 Ford Mustang Dark Horses OR even 644 BMW M3 Competitions.

If given the choice, though, I'd probably pick the Ferrari.
