I picked up a second Sunbeam Tiger this summer and have decided that I definitely have too many projects now. I figured the fairest way to dispose of it is to put it in an auction with our friends at Bring A Trailer.
It is now at only $3000 and is no reserve, so someone might get a heck of a deal. I am cool with that, if it helps a reader get this really cool car.

That looks really cheap at this point (5 days to go), but I would expect the bidding to pick up. Since it runs and is pretty much complete, it seems like a good candidate for restoration by someone who doesn't mind a little cutting and welding. I love those tiny steel wheels that seemed adequate, back in the day!
Danny, in today's market, even if it goes to $15,000-20,000 it is one of the very few viable restorations, as they are worth close to $100,000 done now.

I am curious about the "factory hardtop", is their also a convertible top?
You gotta love BAT. Everyone's an expert and every seller is presumed to be the ultimate deadbeat. Good on ya for dealing with the slings and arrows. It drives me crazy.
kdriba, the soft top is included. Aaron, you got to be a bit thick skinned to sell stuff on the internet. So far the BAT crowd have been pretty decent.
You always wonder if all of the peanut gallery are legitimate bidders or just wanting some attention.
And it looks like someone is going to steal this thing. It is still only at $6300. In today's market it is probably worth at least three times that much.
You gotta hope many are waiting in the wings for the final countdown.
