There is another fatted out TR8 that is vintage raced mostly up here in the Great White North. In its day it was raced in IMSA by Peter Bulkowski who is now also racing it in vintage. Apparently it was originally sponsored by British Leyland Canada and had some Group 44 involvement in its build.
The car my buddy and I am restoring is a Triumph TR7 that was raced in the day by a British Leyland dealership. Our plan is to race it as a TR7 for the first year but we'll definitely want to eventually convert it to a TR8.
