Despite only catching on in the United States fairly recently, rallycross has been a staple in Europe and the United Kingdom for some time. Case in point: the 1987 Motaquip British Rallycross Grand Prix.
Of particular note are the Lancia Delta S4, the Ford RS200 and the Metro 6R4, whose racing series--Group B--had just been shut down in 1986.
