What other rags do you read/subscribe to?

I also get Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car regularly. Pick a few others up at the news stand from time to time. What about you?

Geez, I'm a reader, so you really don't want to know them all - last time I counted it was around 30 magazines. Other than GRM and Classic, I also take Hemmings Sports and Exotic, the British mag Classic and Sports Car, Old Cars Weekly, Corvette Magazine, Racer, Road and Track (will let it expire with the demise of Egan's regular column), Autoweek (subscribed for more than 30 years since back in the Competition Press days, let it expire 5 years ago, got a killer deal so decided to try it again, will let it expire again when it runs out). Also really like the magazine that comes with my Hagerty insurance for the Vette.

Beyond the car stuff, I take both Western history magazines (write regularly for Wild West), Analog, Hitchcock's, two writer mags, various historical journals, and lots of other general interest stuff that pertains to the western US. And several that pertain to Scotland.

As Jim noted above, I too will let my Road & Track subscription expire soon. Peter Egan was a favorite and I'm not nuts about the mag's new style. Unlike Jim, I don't receive a lot of mags but have of late begun to enjoy Automobile.

GRM, CMS, Sports & Exotic Car and a revolving door of woodworking magazines, depending on what kind of subscription deals I can get. I also let R&T run out about a year ago, but I know eventually I'll get some sort of $8/yr offer and probably get it again.

Cycle World, Soaring Society of America, Classic Motorsports.

I used to subscribe to Motorcycle Classics, but let it expire due to the cost.

I think I am going to let GRM expire and add Motorcycle Classics back. Of course I'll also keep CM.

Classic Motorsports, of course, Mustang Monthly and Sports Car Market. R&T will go away for the same reasons above. The good thing about Peter Egan articles is they are found in his books. I'd rather collect books than mags.

I subscribe to CM and on-again/off-again to GRM. I've been with Vintage Motorsport since the mid-nineties, I'm a charter subscriber to Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car, and have been reading newsstand copies of the British magazine Octane since 2004 and finally subscribed to it 3 years ago. I foolishly bit at the ridiculouly cheap subscriptions to R&T and Car and Driver but I just don't get the relevance of those two magazines anymore. They're finished as true enthusiast magazines. In fact, I haven't read the last couple issues of Car and Driver.

GRM, Street Rodder, and Rod & Custom. I used to get Autoweek, but let the subscription expire when they became an occasionally-published rich man's lifestyle magazine. I don't care about watches and cuff links.

GRM, CM, Car Craft, just started getting R&T again in time to let it go with Egan's departure. Still get Cycle World; will miss Egan but Kevin Cameron's still worth it. Almost always pick up Race Tech and Racecar Engineering. We also get Fine Woodworking and Saveur, and I've developed a perverse propensity to pick up Wooden Boat, which makes lots of sense for a guy with too many hobbies who can't swim...

If you're already reading Saveur as well as Fine Woodworking, I'd recommend another Taunton publication: Fine Cooking. Really good.

I subscribe to CM and GRM, Hemmings Sports & Exotic, plus a couple of UK and German rags. Classic Porsche, Banzai, Japanese Performance, one that I won't mention by name because I don't want to end up under a patio and a German magazine called "Motor Klassik". I also recently discovered another German magazine called "Powerslide" which exclusively focuses on classic racing and rallying. I'm also an occasional reader of 911 & Porsche magazine, Retro Cars, Evo and Octane.

Bike magazine wise I subscribe to Motorcycle Classics, Road Runner and currently have a subscription to American Iron, but I think I'll let that expire.

I get most of the foreign mags via electronic subscriptions as they're prohibitively expensive otherwise, just in case someone was wondering.

I couldn't agree more! I used to enjoy Road&Track and Car and Driver both. They were both different in attitude, layout, & interests. Now that they're merged, both are trash. I'll let them both go too.

My two favorite "other" mags right now are. Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car, complete with a Satch Carlson article most months. And Motorboat & Yachting, a great British mag. that has coverage of the whole world on the water on a regular basis.

Finally, I still enjoy the AOPA magazine even though I no longer have a license to fly.

I'd be ok with Rodders Journal, classic and sports car, grm and cm but I get about six others for those days that I have nothing else to do.

Hemmings Sports & Exotic, as do others. One I didn't see mentioned is Sports Car Marketplace. While I'm not really into the buying and selling aspects of the hobby and attending auctions, I really like the histories/summaries they do of significant (and sometimes not-so-significant) cars that have sold recently. I learn a lot about various vintage cars. There's also some good articles on legal issues of owning and buying classic cars, as well as coverage of events. Great photography, too. I also get GRM, but find that less and less relevant to me. Not a dig at the magazine, I'm just an older guy that likes vintage racing and old British sports cars-- not the demographic, it seems.

I can't believe no one has said EVO. If you havent checked it out, do so. Check out evotv on youtube to get a taste.

Classic Motorsports, GRM, Hot Rod, R&T, Motor Trend, Hemmings Sports and Exotic, Hemmings Classic Car, Thoroughbred and Classic Cars, Practical Classics, Vintage Racecar, Octane, Evo, Retro Cars, Vintage Motorsport, Automobile, Classic and Sports Car, and European Car for my automotive interests. Dwell, and Fine Home Building for a change of pace, and the occasional watch magazine.

GRM, CM & Hemmings Sports and Exotic. On the rare occasions I get caught up on the reading I'll pick up a Hemmings Classic Car or Muscle Car. Read Motor Trend and R&T at the barber shop waiting my turn.

I'm a bit behind in reading, have about 6 mags waiting their turn. But back to traveling on Monday and these make good plane reading. Long flight, going to Fairbanks, Alaska Monday and be home Friday mid-day. Have to save some for January, heading to Korea for a couple weeks mid-January. Thought about stacking up some for evening reading but I think after dealing with aircraft historical records all day I won't want to read anything. Which is why I'm also a bit behind in mag reading, I read tech manuals for a living.
