It truly is the Korean Phaeton.
Yeah, I bought an '05 Phaeton (72K new) in '08 with 32,000 miles on it for $24,500 OTR. Depreciation much?
Related to the original point of the thread: it had the 4.2 Audi V8 and ran perfectly the two years I drove it. The oil filter was a trick though, I literally could NOT find it on my own. It's a cartridge inside the block that requires removing the passenger side air intake. The engine held 8 quarts of full synthetic and had a 10,000 mile oil change interval.
Sold the monster in 2010 with 70K miles mostly due to post divorce finances.

I think you may have forgotten Mitsubishi is Japanese
See crank, see crank walk

Huh. The oil filter on my B6 S4 was in a cartridge holder literally right on top of the engine. Place a drain pan on the intake manifold, pop off the dress cover, put a wrench on the single nut in the middle of the oil filter cover, lift it out, and lay it on the drain pain. Easiest oil filter change ever.
You do have to know where to look the first time, though.
8 quarts sounds low, mine had 10.5. They advertised 10K changes, I did it at 5K.
Luxury attempts by Hyundai (drum roll please)
XG300/350
Azera
Genesis
Equus
When Hyundai purchased a stake in Kia the plan was to move Hyundai upmarket and get away from the econobox branding.
New cars look the part, I will give them that.

There are no timing marks and the cam gears are taper fit. Once you put the front in service position it isnt the worst job on the car. One of the A8s required removing a bunch of stuff underhood to access the oil filter but I don't remember which year or engine.
my 2.8 v6 is this way. Does have timing marks I believe, but much much much easier with the tool.
I have a sort of unholy lust for the old a8's, square body style, luxury and a v8. I mean come on!
So, who bought one? Don't kid yourself, this is upping the game of the Aristocrat class if you show up in one of these.

Ive driven an Equus and they are pretty great. Fast too!
On a related note, i just bought a 6yo car that originally stickered for 58+ for 15, and the only thing i can come up with as to how that's possible is 'because luxury car depreciation'.
