That looks too good to cut up or restomod. Hard to tell the true condition just from pics tho. A little rechroming, paint polishing and detailing and that there's a keeper. When I was a kid an old lady a few doors down had a '36, really dug that car.
At $6K that car oughta sell fast.
This is why I got involved. I can't let it get cut up. They aren't making any more of these and I would happily buy it just to wait for the right person... IF I had a place to put it. I still may do it. Can't let it get cut up.
If somebody is seriously interested, PM me. He specifically doesn't want "internet" people reaching out to him.
$6k do it !!!! beautiful ride!!!!

Oh thank baby Jesus it's so far away. I'm not sure I could have resisted that rabbit hole. Neat wierd old car. You just need to find the right buyer, that might be here.
I wish I had a spare 6k. I'd pay it in a heartbeat
Wow, that thing looks amazing! Definitely needs to go to a good home.

Fastest, someone here with $6k. Most, a national listing or auction.
$6K was only brought up as a suggested price vs the low ball offers. Would the seller really consider $6K or wait it out for more? I would think closer to $8-10K for the right classic Dodge buyer.

Yeah, that's actually what he wanted (10). 6 was seen as a lowest possible outcome if they got desperate, which they are not at the moment - and that's the price he'd sell it to ME for, not anybody else. You know old folks, personal connections matter a lot, he wants to see it go to a good home.
If somebody is actually interested in the 8-10 range, let me know. Wasn't intending for this to be a For Sale ad ;)

My wife is not a car buff. It's all I can do to get her to put gas in it. We don't share a love for cars. However, she does dig pre-war cars. A pre-war family cruiser for the kids and grand kids with suicide doors??? It would be a home run.
The offer I sent you was all I've got. Actually, it's more than I've got, but I will stretch.
I respect if your real goal is to flip it, or do something yourself.
But if it's a good home he is looking for, THAT I can provide.
I've never driven a '36 Dodge but I've had some seat time in a '36 Plymouth which I assume would be somewhat similar. Cars like that are a lot of fun, but it's slow fun. Acceleration, shifting, braking are all done in a leisurely fashion, but that's the whole point - you're out to enjoy the ride. Find a nice, quiet secondary road out in the country and just cruise along.
If I had not just bought a boat, I would be banging off the walls to go pick that up for $10k. It would mean eating ramen and no entertainment for months, but it would be worth it. Seriously.
Love it. I'd sell the 914 for that if I didn't mind being broke and homeless after SWMBO throws me out.

No brainer for listing on Bring A Trailer.

The thing with this car is that it falls into the niche of "Not Investment Grade" and "Not really usable as a car". So what do you do with it other than Hot Rod in an effort to make it of use? And who wants a 4 door hotrod?
For the record, I think that car looks amazing.
