agreed... I have been looking at 02s and e21s recently with the intent on seeing what an uncorked M42 or M44 engine could really do free of emissions constraints

That looks like a very clean car and without the US bumpers they just look oh so right.

maybe im not a good salesmen, i had one about 5yrs back, it ran good , a little rust but not bad, a 1975 red one,, got $400 bucks for it. maybe sold it to cheap??
