I went through this exact same thing with my fake-SVO. thought the rear main must be blown. Turned out to be the oil pressure switch.
So the seal around the outside went out? Looks like a cheap & easy fix, but you never know with sensors. I assume like most other sensors, the whole thing will be replaced.
sometimes the phenolic part cracks, sometimes they leak where the electrical contact is riveted to the phenolic, sometimes they leak at the interface between the phenolic and the metal housing. they are cheap, and depending on location they are sometimes easy.
Doesn't look bad. I'll fix that, but I'm pretty sure this truck will end up in the project section. Good chassis & transmission, so it will live on.

in my case, it simply needed tightening down. generally though, they'll blow out through the center.
The internal seal between the oily parts and the electrical bits breaks down. the oil literally comes right through the plastic electrical part. If the wiring harness plug for the sender is wet with oil, you've got your culprit.
I was gonna say check the back of the head but everyone beat me to it.
Haven't even been able to get out to swap the sensor. A visit to the dentist, dinner with a beer, and a cruise through the country sounded better.
So who's got a diagram showing the location of this bitch? I'm getting sick of feeling around for the damn thing. Any location info would be handy. Hoping to get it done tonight and change the oil so I can put the F150 away.
Thanks all,
Sper
To the rescue again. Thanks, brother.
I don't think this is where the leak was coming from. Maybe that oil gushing out of the head has something to do with the oil on the ground.
Only other thing there is the head or valve cover gasket. I would believe head gasket because the oil feed/drain is in back. Unless someone has put too long a bolt in the top two bellhousing bolt holes and cracked the block.....
Since its coming out of the bottom of the head, I'll just go ahead and assume its the head gasket. The block isn't cracked. I put those bolts in and there were no problems.
Just how in the hell did you crack a NA head?????
In reply to Ranger50:
I believe I bought it that way and drove around keeping the valves VERY cool for quite some time before oil started SPLODING out the rear of the head gasket...
Or I'm just THAT good...
jb weld, new gasket, see how long it lasts?
Perhaps duck tape for good measure.

LOL. Very funny. Explains where that handle came from, though.
Slap on the cleanest JY head you can find, done.
In reply to N Sperlo:
If it fixed my broken back it can fix anything!!

Has 260k on it. I'll drop in a whole JY engine and salvage what I can from my engine to build it better! Build it stronger!
