So in my ChumpCar build we are in the buttoning up stage of things. I haven't removed any wiring yet and went to test brake lights today with zero success. I checked all fuses and they were all squared away.
- Front flashers work with hazards on but nothing in the rear.
- Tail lights do not come on when lights are on.
- No brake lights when brake pedal is depressed.
Troubleshooting - Tested all fuses even replaced some - I have power going to the brake pedal sensor. - No power at the firewall connector for the harness that runs the length of the car on the passenger side on an of the connections except for 12v for a red wire. - No power/hot at the opposite end of this harness which plugs into the tail light harness as the rear of the car.
- I do have dash lights, headlights, front side marker lights, front turn signals, and hazards work on the front. Interior lights also work (dome, number panel lights, etc)
I'm at a loss and almost at the point to just running my own harness to the back for tail lights and brake lights.
