Anyone here personally have expecience with this? My lil brother has a '93 and was asking me about supercharging or turboing it. Anyone have input? Remote Mount Turbo seems the easiest...???
Also, 89-91 are first gen, 92-95 are second gen, 96-99 are third gen, 2010-present are fourth gens, although thier owners call them 6th gens(due to gen 6 taurus)
The gen 1 , 92, and all 93-5 5sp manual cars are 3L, 93-5 also had an auto option with a 3.2L that made the same power but a bit more torque. All gen 3's are 3.4L duratec based v8's with automatics, and of course, the gen 4's are all the 3.5TT awd automatics.

The picture you linked is my friend's car. He was the first to turbocharge one back in the 90's.
I have driven that car and it was stupid fas, especially on the highway. He could never get it to hook up but it ran a 13.1 at like 117 mph when he had it.
I remember racing a third gen rx7 on the interstate in it and the guys mind was boggled that he lost to a crappy looking taurus.
I actually sold it for him through my car dealership around 2003. The guy he sold it to went crazy with it and it is really fast now.
I bought my '91 from Tim, who I'm pretty sure was the one who went crazy with it. I'm pretty sure the shell of that white car pictured is now in Indianapolis awaiting a new turbo powerplant.....its also pearl white now.

i am interested in how to build one of these to 10k. If i can do this for cheap then i may show up at next years challenge with said motor.
Not cheap but this is what I would love to do:
CSRV: http://www.coatesengine.com/csrv-system.html and a dual speed alternator: http://magpie69.zymichost.com/products_dual_speed_alternator.php. I have been dreaming of a 10k RPM engine for a while...
