So I picked up a gnarly 1993 ls400 the other day. Gonna swap the motor into the Celica. Can't find pin outs anywhere. Hoping somebody on here either has a shop manual for purchase or is willing to email some photo copies... I've read just about every year of 1uzfe is different in terms of wire color and other various plugs. Funny story on picking up the "sexy lexy": funny update

So we went to pickup "sexy lexy" on Saturday. (More on the name later) Meant to get on the road at 8am sharp. Well, I stayed up late drinking. Got on the road about 10am. It was 102* that day. Why do I always choose these days...

Had to drive from sisters, Oregon to aloha to meet the legendary A2O. He had a pair of front rims for me. I needed those because the "sexy lady" that sold me the ls400, had sold the massive 18" rims that were on it in the pics, and had purchased some 15" rims for it to replace them. But bob checked out the car and said the fronts needed the 16" but the rear 15" rims would clear the calipers.

Then after that we made our way out to Gresham, to the ghetto. We got the front rims on. Ez peezee. Checked fluids, started her up, put her in reverse, stepped on it. Nothing. The engine roared, the suspension compressed. But it wouldn't budge. Played with some ish, long story short- the 15" rims wouldn't clear the calipers (my buddy is a dingus, he torqued the 15" rims down even though they were interfering) so we tried filing the rotors down. No go. We tried an angle grinder. No go. We tried washers from Home Depot to try and space the rims outward. No go. So finally we decide "hey, let's remove the rear rotors all together. So we unbolted those turds and tried zip ties to hang them out of the way.

Well that wasn't going to work, zip ties are weak against hot exhaust on a 102 day. So we asked this ladies boyfriend, aka "cleatus" if he had anything. He got us some bailing wire. It worked. He however did not. This guy was nuts. The F-bomb was literally every other word. In the process, he revealed to us that his girlfriend is in Vegas seeing her daughter. They are both strippers. Lol. Lol. Lol. I could've called it. Later, on the ride home we found a half used tube of vag cream in the trunk of the "sexy lexy" Oh snap! I suddenly didn't wanna touch any part of this car! The long drive home I had this really uncomfortable feeling in my stomach, thought it was the extreme gross out I had from the cooch creme. About 2am, I woke up and pissed blood. No joke. Kidney stones blow. Been on the couch all day. Automotive adventures are always full of memories, am I right? we got home around 930pm... The whole drive home was miserable because, at first, the "Junkyard Cleatus plastic wrap special" window wrap was loud as crap, so we took it off. But did I mention it was 102 yesterday?!?! Yeah, that was a loooooong drive home.

Bro, funny story but weird as E36 M3.

Lextreme is your friend. I had a 93 and 94 wiring diagram on my hd. But, I guess it's gone. Anything I needed to learn about the 1uz is on that forum. The 1uz is probably the easiest efi motor to wire up. I'm E36 M3ty at wiring.

If you can't find them on the web, you can buy a temporary subscription to techinfo.toyota.com and download PDFs of everything you need for both cars. After doing a couple of engine swaps, I found the 'free' info online to be a lot less reliable than the actual service manuals for both the donor and recipient vehicles.

$15 for two days and you can download all you want.

That's where I'm at. Lextreme has a bunch diagrams, sadly none for the 1993. I did find one posted to yotatech forums, but it's dodgy. Like you said, id rather have a tangible copy in my hands from a Toyota publication. eBay has both manuals (apparently there are 2) for about 400$. No joke. So anyone wanna take a guess as to why I'm trying to find a cheap alternative? Lol. I came here hoping somebody... Hint hint.... That has ran a ls400 in the challenge... Nod nod.... Might have said info sitting in a computer at home. Wink wink.

In reply to Trackmouse:

The two manuals are mechanicals and electricals. My electrical manual is for the 1995 year LS400, but I have plenty of info on the wiring from other years. I am in the process of wiring up the engine to a Megasquirt V3 right now. If you have specific questions PM me.

I might on my PC at home, I own a 93, will check.
BTW when buying mine, we googled the name the seller gave us and google said she was a porn star. Wasn't her, but the trunk smelled a little like livestock.

There's more to my story in this regard too. See the car had been t boned while parked at the strip club. And the passenger seat couldn't be moved due to the accident preventing it. The scary gross part is that the seat was laid all the way back and reclined fully. I'm pretty sure she was jerkin at the club in the "sexy lexy" between sets. Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.

Ironically, the engine drop may be the cleanest part of the job.

They say there is no cure, but they're wrong. I know a guy that's had it three times!
