Just got back from a little shindig where we celebrated the 20th anniversary of one Mr. David S. Wallens joining the team. As the only member of the team not named Suddard who predates him, I just felt it was my duty to point out to you people how damn lucky you are to have a guy like this guiding your magazine. It's been amazing to share a career with him, and I can't imagine that I'd have ever accomplished many of the things I'm proud of if it weren't for him.
You guys that know me know that I tend to be a bit of a lone wolf. So for me to be fortunate enough to find someone who I can work along side for two decades who's not only good at what he does, but makes me better at what I do, is a true blessing.
David, I love you man. I look forward to 20 more years of making cool stuff together. After that, though, I might take a couple days off.
Wow, 20 years! That's awesome. Here's to another 20!
Very cool. Congrats to both of you. The Suddards are lucky to have you on the team.
Bravo. We should all be so lucky.

That tells me two things. The Suddards are doin' it right, and David's a dedicated man. Looking forward to spending the next 20 with you guys.
Congratulations David.
...Especially on finding a job you love enough to do it for 20 years and a great co-worker (JG) to share it with.
Wow! So much has changed over the last 20 years, especially in the publishing business! And you guys just keep making the magazines better and better!
Congratulations, David!

Congrats on a big milestone David. Did they give you a t-shirt?
Congratulations, David!
And JG, having written an article for your magazine, and seen what he did with it in terms of writing, yet keeping a style, you totally understate how important David is to this magazine. IMHO.
I know that you are all a team of dedicated car people, but what I think David does (or has done) allows other dedicated car people contribute AND keep a very high written word skill to your magazine. I know this isn't the New Yorker, but it IS Grassroots Motorsports, and David has helped define a writing standard that is of very high quality and connects to the readers.
It's a big reason I keep reading, even though my enthusiasm has diminished over the past few years.
Congrats David! I met you and your wife in the infield at the Rolex. Here's to another 20 years and keep up the good work!

Congrats David! He's an all around cool dude and is great at what he does. Keep it up!
Thanks. And thanks, JG.
Sadly, no, no T-shirt. I did wear my totally faded GRM hoodie to the office today.
Congrats David. I have a mental image of what working there would be like. I'm not sure I'd really want to know the truth since it would probably ruin it for me!
Congratulations, David, and go team! Remarkable what a small group of good people can do...
That was awfully bromantic!
Congrats you love birds.
