...I'm buying it. Sunday.

Wow, I don't get it. I get 36mpg commuting in my xB. I'd call that great on MPG.

Not yet. Going to drive this a few days, make sure everything checks out, then offer it to Facebook/friends/GRM types. If no bites, then Autotrader or CL I suppose. ($5k is the going rate for friendly and friends of friends)

Hmm, I wonder how flat the load floor would be if I removed the rear seat, and the front passenger seat.
Or for that matter, how much fore and aft room it would have with the rear seat removed.
In reply to eastsidemav:
Not sure. With the back seats folded down I've carried a clothes dryer, two large boxes, luggage, RC car in the box and still had room for SWMBO in the passenger seat. I've moved a 6' long computer desk, only had to remove the tower shelf on the end. Stacked up 8 mounted 14" wheels once recently. It's quite spacious for sure.

Sweet, it's staying "in the family"
That thing got something like 22-24mpg towing my GTI home. And it returned something like 27mpg average when we went to Tulsa with it, and we were hauling ass much of the time.
Really, if you want to see what it gets for fuel economy, the soon-to-be-PO is on Fuelly.
In reply to Jerry:
So with the seats folded, there's at least 6 feet from the tailgate to the back of the front seats? Any idea how tall the cargo space inside it is?
