I may be crazy, but wasn't there a tease at the end of one of the GRM issues that the next issue would detail the buildup of the two AWD conversions at the $2009 Challenge - Kevin's converted Mercury Tracer and the Mitsubishi Lancer? I can't be sure as I don't have my issues in front of me, but it was several issues ago if memory serves. Did I just miss it or am I making this up?

Yeah, they're probably still deliberating if the Fiero counts as AWD. I mean, technically, it's EWD...either wheel drive? BWD...both wheel drive? VWD...variable wheel drive?
FWD? Silent mode through the pits and into the staging lane, you got it. RWD? We do have a lot of interstate ahead of us, sure thing boss. AWD? Traction is limited, sounds like a plan Stan. I'd venture to say I change the drive wheels of my car as often as probably any other car on public roads. I don't know, I just call it AWD.
Those other AWD conversions sound fun too. That might be a nice weekend project.

The Durocco wasn't a Challenger. Wickedly cool, but never made it to the Challenge.
Yeah, I know it wasn't, but for cheap AWD, seems like a possibility....
