Forgive my ignorance if this already exists, but I think there should be a forum for the $2011 challenge, much like there is one for $2011 classified ads.

It makes sense to me to have all the build threads, event information, etc. in one place.

Can I get a hell yeah?

It is all in one place. You're already here.

If/when there's a crush of too much challenge information being posted, we'll consider adding additional subforums.

Well, since this thread exists, we could use it to briefly describe our build and to provide rervant links. Here's mine:

I'm using locost-style construction to make a car that doesn't look like a locost. It is a replica of a 1932 datsun, and the body is made out of scrap metal. I will try to have it at the $2011 challenge but $2012 is looking more realistic. There are updates in my build thread and at my my website

Is it ok for us to post our challenge cars before the challenge?? I thought it all had to be top secret till the challenge.

Nope, it is fine to post before the event. Some of the guys like the element of surprise, but it is optional, not mandatory.

Element of surprise?

I'm thinking some people don't post about their builds because they are afraid of not finishing.

...wait a minute...

Did I say that out loud??
