Do it. You won't.

Any of you guys coming anywhere near Cleveland Ohio? If you do, would you have room to get a small block chevy and carry it towards the challenge?
Patgizz has one hes willing to give me for the drivabeater, I just have no way to do a thousand miles round trip.

Today, I printed an entry form and wrote on it with pen. I then wrote a check out from a check book and placed it all in a envelope with a stamp.
The process was just as '90's-esque as the car I will compete with.

I am about 1 hour away from Pat, but...
As you see in the picture above, my steed is already in FL. My goals were to fly-in, compete and drive back.
My guess is that your block may be small but not small enough for carry-on luggage.
Tell me more about your intentions. Are you coming to The Challenge to gather up the parts or are you hoping to meet along the route?
When do we find out if we made the entry in time for the 20 person shootout thingymabobber mentioned in the mag?

I am writing you a PM.
Edit: PM kicked back.
I can be reached at 4one9 54one-one335 or jwelsh02(a)yahoo.com
I was flying down but have not made solid plans yet. Maybe if I cover a rental, we could drive down together and back separately. Or, fly together.
Sent in my entry last week, now thrashing away on the car. LT1 cam and trying to make my own camber plates.
Thanks for calling in your entry, Stan. For folks like me, who have to go in all kinds of rummage drawers to find a stamp and actually mail something, you can also fax your entries to 386-239-0573 or email them to Rick@grassrootsmotorsports.com. If you're not comfortable sending your credit card info that way, just call the office at 386-239-0523 and we'll take your charge info over the phone.

Registering is very easy and pleasant to do over the phone. Thank you for employing such nice people. (Refering to past experiences, haven't registered yet this year)

I so approve of this. John, I'll be heading up from Tampa on Thursday if you wanted to fly in there and catch a ride up. If you want to make it a REALLY long day I could get your a ride on a boat out of DIYC for some beer can racing and then drive to G'ville.
Thank you for letting me call it in. I have been calling in since 2002. old habits die hard. Plus I enjoy talking to them.

I just now saw your offer of Davis Island. As great as that sounds...unlikely.
Car is in Jacksonville. My plans are to get my hands on the car Thursday, compete Fri and Sat, drive out Sun.
Ps: GRM deposited my check so I know I am in. Also interested in the 20, if that is still on.
I am also interested in if GRM could meet my race number request.

There are still a few more spots available for the top 20. Look for the announcement on Thursday regarding what we are actually doing with the top 20 entries!

This warms me in the cockles.

Can't make it to the challenge, but if I send you some steel wool would you knit me a right rear quarter panel for a '76 bmw 2002?
Entry mailed on Sunday. It's the one filled out with a blue crayon.
Since I don't 100% trust the mail, some kind of confirmation of receipt would be nice. Post a list here?
You'll need to log in to post.
