I'm kind of interested in the AWD version, read lots of issues with the interior electronics and the steering system.
Does any of you have some intel on these?,curious if they've updated and corrected the problems or not.
Up here in the north its a used car for 30k which is lots of coin for me so I'd like to avoid buyers regret.
Let's see. My uncle's had one for a good while now, and here are the problems so far.
-steer by wire is incredibly weird and can get confused sometimes.
-The screens crash constantly
-It takes ages for the backup camera lines to load
-The b-pillar blocks your shoulder-checks
-Fuel economy is abysmal, even compared to a Lexus LS430
-Interior materials feel a bit cheap in places
-Warranty support sucks
-Shockingly small trunk
The engine, transmission, and AWD system are fantastic, but the rest of the car lets it down. I'd recommend a used QX50/EX37. All the punch and liveliness of the powertrain with significantly fewer of the Q50's downsides. My uncle loves the acceleration, but as soon as he can, he's trading his in for a brand new IS350 F-sport.

Which one is the Q50? Can't keep them all straight with Infiniti's new moronic naming system.
It's the G37 replacement. I would go with the G37 over the Q50. It's a little dated by the end of the run but man it just works and all of the bugs are well worked out of it by the 2013 model year. I like the steering a lot better too on my G than any Q I've driven.
Yes, the G37 is really a good car. Fun to drive, not TOO refined ( and I mean that in a good way). The VQ37 with the paddle shift 7 speed is really a nice combo, the 6mt is also good but the clutch is a bit abrupt.
Motor Trend wasn't too wild about the latest offering.
