David and Dean Case from Mazda are starting their journey south with the new Miata today. Their first stop is in Indianapolis at Moe's Southwest Grill at 12483 N. Meridian St, Carmel, Indiana, for dinner.
Live in the area? Swing on by, have a burrito, and check out the new car. They plan on getting there at around 5:30 p.m. and have to get back on the road by 7.
Dammit, if only more than 6 hours notice.
Sorry, Ben. Got the plans up as soon as they were made. I'm sure you can worm your way our of any conflicting plans. Got to keep your priorities straight.
Sooo, if they are on their way to Indy for dinner, where are they now and for lunch? Chicagoland? Maybe they are driving right past me?

I just wormed my way out of a week of work last week, today is my first day in the office since Tuesday, and apparently i have a new manager as of Friday. I'll probably shut down the office today.
Oh well, i'll just keep on planning on seeing everyone in Gainesville.
Would your new boss happen to be a fan of Miatas? Sorry, just trying my best to be a bad influence.

No idea, haven't even met her yet. I have a meeting with her at 2pm where i have to explain some of the processes we do, and i'm going to take that opportunity to try to strong-arm a raise as well, so i'm not sure if working in "Hey, do you like Miatas?" in that would go over too well.
What about tomorrow? I'm in Louisville without my work truck until tomorrow night and should run out of busy work by tonight.

Any chance they are gonna stop in chattanooga?

You guys need to do a stop in central GA near Macon. If you want a restaurant recco or whatever, PM me.
Not totally sure where they're planning on stopping tomorrow, but I'll let you guys know as soon as I do.

I have a friend who lives in Carmel, IN. I'll see if I can get her to go and take a look just because I can't.
Indy is just a little far for a spontaneous trip but at least I have a Moe's about 20 minutes from my house. (MMM... Earmuffs)
Maybe I'll get Moe's for dinner and look at the Mazda website on my phone.
Update from David: They're just leaving the Tire Rack facility now so that puts them at Moe's a little closer to 6:15.
Hi all, Tom here with a friendly subscription plug.
Curious what the Miata was doing at Tire Rack? Like instrumented testing? You should make sure your subscription is current.

Please come to Austin. The roads aren't THAT flooded
Yeah, sorry for the late notice. We had some secret stuff today that we couldn't promote. Now that we're on the road, we'll keep you guys posted. Keep an eye on this page as well as our Facebook. Cell service has been a bit spotty, so sometimes there's only time for one quick post.
Tonight we're in Cincinnati. Tomorrow we'll be on Tail of the Dragon.
So that's why my Tire Rack contact said he'd have some wheel fitment info for me shortly...

That is an excellent question. It might explain all of these spreadsheets.
And right now a great time to visit Daytona Beach: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/events/2015-mazda-mx-5-welcome-party/

I will make sure that Killboy gets some pics as you roll thru the Dragon. Pull off and let him take some close-ups too.
And we made it home last night. Fun trip but a pretty fast pace. Sorry we couldn't make more public stops, but our schedule either wasn't set or we were simply rushing. The welcome dinner in Daytona was pretty excellent, though. Thanks for joining us.

My aunt and uncle live there. While not grassroots, he has a Porsche cabriolet. But alas, he is a doctor and was busy.
A Porsche cab can totally be Grassroots----- it's all what you do with it.
