Imagine the possibilities.
Have the scoring be streetcar biased. Factor in fuel economy, streetability and comfort to keep the cars daily drivable.
Like an ultimate streetcar invitational or ultimate streetcar challenge (rip scc mag) only on the (relatively) cheap.
$10k would be awesome too.
I'd say 8999 all in. Curve points for lower budgets....
you could do a lot of damage w/ $5K
It would be interesting to see what shows up. Sort of the ultimate track car competition but with AX and drags instead.
Does it have to be street legal. Because if not I could build some serious artillery.
Step 1: Buy $20K 996 Turbo
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit!
In all seriousness, this sounds awesome.

I bet I could hit 1000 horsepower within that budget.
OK So Double the budget 4034, I am In And Stupid Fast.
After seeing what people are doing with 2017, I think the price of a base accord would be pretty spectacular. How many low budget peeps would be inspired to pass on the new kia or camry or whatever and build something special for even less.
I vote street legal And points for girlfriend/grandma/fuel economy test to keep cars realistic. The best part is that a lot of people already have cars for this competition.
So buy a C5 Vette and add your favorite power enhancements.
The Cobra would be legal for this, with about $15K left to spend, too...
I see a lot of C5/C6 Vette, 996 Porsche, and LS swapped/turbo Miata happening here.
So basically CAM with no make restrictions and a budget. I like it a lot.
Street legal in some agreed state.
200TW tires.
Costs are ALL IN. No exemptions.
FMV or actual purchase cost for all parts on car
Classes could be $4034, $8068, $16136.
Run at UTCC with a liveability road loop to a Dragstrip.
I'm into a fully caged almost tube framed TR8 coupe with a 500hp LS3 for right around $10K now. Most of the expensive stuff is done and I still have not sold off any of the spare Camaro parts yet.

Road Atlanta is just a few miles from Atlanta Dragway and a 3/8 oval is across the street from R.A.
You don't want this if you're GRM's insurer.
Think "Secondhand Indycar with a faux-Group-C body, knocked together on the cheap". The $2017 cars are fast enough.
