Thanks for the updates!
This is like a build thread, happening real time. why cant every build thread be this way?? instant gratification!
I see half shafts. What was decided here?
Use NA trans w/ SC engine? Will they mate up?
Use NA shafts on SC trans? Can the smaller shafts be added to the bigger trans?
You didn't actually get SC shafts???
What up PLBers!
A friend and I are driving up from Miami, will arrive between 10 and 11 tonight.
Late, I know, but you guys need anything? Grinders, powertools, 22.5" jack/stands, handtools, hammers, 2k honda generator, extension cords, cold beer, etc?
I leave in 2 hours, get your orders in!
If you want to quickly drop some weight...
The entire rear bumper comes off with just 4 bolts. 2 of the bolts are in the trunk under the tail lights. 2 are under the car.
With the bolts undone, the entire bumper assembly will slide out by pulling straight back.
Super easy with 2 people to re-install for judging day. I'm not sure what it weighs but it will be significant.
I'm not recommending to go so far as tail light removal just a sample photo.
Don't do this until you are done lifting the car since it looks like you are using the bumper tie downs as the lifting point.
Here is a basic picture of a MR2 without the rear bumper. I posted it to show and further explain how the bumper slides onto the body.

For those following at home... From Right to Left
Chris (shrug), Robbie, Pimpm3 (Jeremy), who is that in the tan?
One group worked on prepping the engine (timing belt, plugs, wires, distributed, remove unecessary brackets, new belts, swap pulleys, alternator, etc)
The other group worked on the car. Pull engine, new brakes, clutch master cylinder, pedal box, strip interior, etc)
Reinforcements arrived, and a new group of guys are now getting ready to install new motor- sorting wiring harness, torque flywheel, mate trans, etc.
Robbie and Chris are not allowed a break.
