I want one:

A truck is a tool. Why do I feel alone in thinking that a truck is not a sports car, not a luxury vehicle.

Well....it's not a 996, so I'm not surprised you're not a fan. Has a '''merica v8 and probably runs Joe gibs non racing Nascar oil too.

Nobody claimed it was a sports car or luxury. It's a pickup truck with lots of power. You don't get it. That's fine.

To you sure not to everyone. Says the guy building a CAM autox truck.
Finally, the standard cab shortbox truck I've been looking for!
Its strange to look at a 305 width tire and say, "Hmmm needs more rubber under there..."
Overall, I like it.

I shoehorned a built 410 into a Dodge 3/4-ton plumber's van because the owner's wife said he couldn't have a sports car. Getting accidental wheelspin at 50mph while breaking the engine in, in a work van, was an interesting experience. I'm sure he got to job sites VERY quickly
People gonna hot rod anything on wheels.
As soon as these kids leave home I'm building a muscle truck. The more I think about them the more I want one.
Meh, it's big, it's loud, it'll probably make me poop a little. I'm into it. Sometimes ridiculousness for the sake of it is what the world needs. Too many people get hung up on semantics.

Nightmare is a cool, scary-esc name, but not good if the truck has known mechanical issues later, as the cool name will become its stigma.

That would be like decribing a vehicle as being a source of one's destruction. That is tempting Fate. Fate is older than you and has a lot more experience.
No thanks. I’ll stick to my old Avalanche, planned 3/4 lowering, and some sloppy Chinese turbos and cam...
