What trim is it? Nothing is pulling up with these kinds of specs on the 2020 elantra sedan on the Hyundai website...
Hyundai has eliminated the 6-speed manual as an option for 2020. GRM must have a 2019 tester.

A manual box is still listed on the media site, kinda. The 1.6 turbo engine is shown as standard on the Sport as well. We'll see what they say. Maybe this car is a unicorn.
From an e-mail I received earlier regarding changes for the Elantra GT for 2020:
Carryover with manual transmission dropped.
No mention of the Elantra Sport, though. So maybe this is a unicorn.
Appreciate everyone kicking in.... The website still shows the GT as a 2019... So we'll see if the retain the manual veloster R spec and the Manual GT N line going forward..

The new face seems kinda polarizing.
That’s what Toyota and Lexus SHOULD be doing, instead of taking that basic look and cranking all the knobs to 11.

They need to stop dicking around and bring the damn I30 N(Elantra) here already. Its what people wanted in the first place. I loved driving the Veloster N but cant get over the lack of rear hatch space. If im going to ever replace my Fiesta ST its going to be something in line with the GT N-Line(wanted a Focus ST but Ford sucks donkey balls). If they actually bring the Elantra N out the Fiesta will be gone the minute they hit the lots.

I wouldn't hold you breath. The veloster is their USDM top level hatch and after getting the veloster into TCR now.. I wouldn't expect that to change

I don’t think we are at risk of losing the manual Veloster R-Spec, Hyundai has it positioned as a Civic Si competitor which is ONLY available in manual.
The Elantra/Elantra GT manuals though, I would guess are dead. I have seen probably three Elantra Sports in the real world (one of which I test drove) and have only seen one GT Sport. Have not seen any N-Line in the wild yet. If TOTAL take rates are that low, and manuals are a fraction of the total...
Just heard back from Hyundai: The 2020 Elantra Sport and base car lose the manual transmission. The big brakes and IRS availalbe on the Sport automatic.
I put some miles on our tester last night. Now to write it up.

Did they ever get the flappy automatic to work well? Supposedly the auto is quicker to 60? I guess that’s good news.

GRM's own review loathed the Hyundai/KIA DSG in the Forte5 SX, as did Car & Driver in a long term Soul Turbo. There's actually a pending class action lawsuit over them.

Yikes. So, no improvements made yet? That’s sad.

I am on a couple FB pages for the 2nd gen Velosters & the word on the street is for 2020 Hyundai is dropping the manual in the turbo cars except for the R-Spec & N. You can still get it in the NA 2.0 but I am not sure why anyone would buy that engine in anything when that 1.6 turbo is so much better. Full disclosure-I have a 2019 R-Spec & absolutely love it. Hyundai is definitely headed the right direction.
