Deposit put down at Roger Penske Honda in Indianapolis on a 2024 Civi Si. It will be a white one due in the early spring. MSRP and a $250 DOC fee (plus tax, title, plates).
As I just turned 61 YO I'm not crazy at buying a new truck with a $30-$35,000 note along with a $5-$7000 interest cost. Its looking like I'm cashing in at 65 YO so I'm watching costs.
Why the Civic Si? I wanted one in 2011 and wussed out and did the grown up thing and got an Accord instead.
Next update in March, 2024.
When my dad was my age he was on his 3rd Lincoln Town Car and I'm buying a Civic?
It's a great well-rounded vehicle. Its also a future vehicle candidate for me and I'm interested to see what the facelift does for the car and what they change (I assume it'll come in 2025/2026).

Excellent choice.
... and I think you know how I've formed this opinion!
Congrats on the purchase!
I've always loved the Si. I've had most gens of the Si minus this one. I was irked they downgraded a lot of the features on the Si compared to the outgoing 10th gen while also raising the costs so I've avoided it (also due to most dealers having a mark-up on them as well). They are great cars, very practical, fun to drive, and easy to maintain.

Car due early next spring - they told me Roger Penske will not sell over MSRP and there are no mandatory options. I'm still not believing it until I sign the bottom line at delivery.
Yes, the items pulled from the previous gen sucks but I've wanted one for a long time and I'm just doing it.
I would love to see a GRM head to head on the Civic Si and the Forte GT. The numbers are close performance wise.
Good call. You can't go wrong with that trim level. Def on my list for a retirement vehicle too. Anything new for 2024 of any significance?

The only thing I can figure out is the Orange color has left the lineup.
Nice, I think the wife is going to pick up a new or 22'23 Si come March. Her 9th gen Si has 170k and is starting to show its age but we plan on keeping it.
I've watched a bunch of YouTube reviews on and read the articles on them. Sucks only Canadian ones get the heated seats.

Very few people have ever thought buying a Civic Si was a mistake. I'm sure it will be a great car for you.
Congrats! As someone who have owned Civic Si since 1991, great choice.
Although "sedans" were never a proper "Si" for me, I thoroughly enjoy my 2011 Si Sedan. I have been really toying with the new ITS as a daily driver. Maybe next year..
Glad to see you not give in to the Koreans.

I gave in to the Koreans 20 years ago when I adopted this firecracker.......
