Hey dudes. I'm not changing the oil myself. I can drive 45 mins. to the dealer, or get it done right down the street. Teh googels are not showing me what oil I should be using in this thing, and I don't want to trust the guys at jiffy joe's to finger it out. Is 0-20 full synthetic the recommended oil? Do you guys with cars under warranty go to the stealership? I used to be all hell-bent on that until HENNESSY HONDA OF WOODSTOCK (Who sucks,) destroyed my Fit.
I personally have good luck just going to the Mazda dealer with my 99 Miata. I figure that whatever they put in won't void the warranty (I know, Woodstock Honda), and I can usually find a coupon online to get it down to $30 for oil and filter.
But the head tech at the Mazda dealer here has built 3 or 4 RX7's in the last ten years, so I might ahve a little different experience.
It doesn't say what it uses on the oil cap or in the owner's manual?
Are you sure you didn't buy it at HENNESSY HONDA OF WOODSTOCK (who sucks)?
Just don't take it to HENNESSY HONDA OF WOODSTOCK because I hear they suck.

I'm sure it does, but I have neither right in front of me.
I take mine to the dealer. Ours is awesome and the service manager is the guy who built Aussies roll cage and has a rotary miata. I trust him. That's the tough part.
And 0w20 synthetic is the suggested oil.

For a car with a warranty, I like having the service done at the dealership. I know it isn't necessary, but I'd rather spend a couple of extra dollars and just not have to think about it. Granted, I don't live 45 minutes from the dealership. If I did, I'm not sure how I'd handle it.
Mine is way out of warranty and I still take it in. Don't plan to ever change it myself.
I'm pretty sure the 5 has the same 2.5L motor as my 3. It calls for 0w20 Full Synthetic. I've been running Mobil 1 0w20 since the first oil change and changing it myself since the very beginning, right after after the dealer told me it would be over $60 to do it WITH a coupon. It's one of the easiest cars to do an oil change on just in case you change your mind, and I save $30+ each time doing it myself. Just keep all your receipts.
