Color me biased but with almost 400k miles on my Nissan hardbody, that's my suggestion.
I always liked Hardbody's on the GM 6-lug wheels of that era. Cheap alloys and small by modern comparison. 16's proportion nicely.

Yes...that would be sweet-but I am looking for a project support vehicle; not a project. Would a 2.3 turbo and 5 speed not make just a killer mid 60's Ranchero?
Went to look at an 620 Datsun last night (rust-nope) and ended up buying his 78 Wagoneer with a ever-so-slightly bent frame...but that will be a whole other project-or part out (kinda tough to tow home with a 944)
Looking at a 91 Hardbody that needs clutch hydraulics this weekend; left another note on the VW Caddy that has been sitting since I moved here
