Or the awesome sunsets we get every day....
You don't always get that option when you're looking for property. PLus, we got really lucky with this one. We got the well, the 30 mature trees, the shed, and the zoning/building permits included with the purchase.
Even though all 8 new accel inj ohm'd out within spec. Even though they were all getting signal. Even though they would spray fuel. A used set of LT1 injectors fixed it. I haven't driven it yet, but I heard it over the phone.
Sum bitch.
Glad to hear, nothing more frustrating than something not working when it should. Just got done dealling with a similiar issue. Rebuilt a B21 in an old Prelude for a co-worker's son, put it back together and no start. Had fuel, spark and timing was spot on (checked it 4 times). Turns out the injectors were dead, put in a new set and it fired right up. But it took too many days of head scratching and wrench throwing to get it done.

Excellent. Hope you keep it and drive the living snot out of it. What's your total investment to date, excluding self labor?
Finally drove it last night for the first time on all 8 cylinders. I need to turn down the fuel pressure, i's really rich and stumbles off idle. But once it goes.... holy hell does it go.

really
really impressive. I know your own time investment was probably tripled killing that ghost.. but it sounds like a really good buy, at this point.
This has to be the biggest collective headscratcher this board has seen. Nice to have a positive resolution.
It is/was a good buy. I have a lot of time wrapped up in it, I will admit. All new suspension, brakes, lines, fluids, master cylinder, clutch master/slave/line, clutch, p/s pump and rack, p/s hoses, hoses, fuel lines, filters, complete engine rebuild with miniram intake, bump up in compression (~10.5:1), seats......
What is sad is the list of things yet to do seems just as long! Wheels/tires, seals, weatherstrips, carpet, door panels, light body work, paint.....

agreed... everyone I know/met/talked with about that has asked what the solution was and every single person has gone"damn, that's an odd one." Why did it have to be MY odd one?
i just read this whole thing from the beginning...what a nail biter!!! glad it worked out though, hooray for you.
Drove it home last night, it's still uber rich, turning the FPR back a little more today. It has one speed right now... FLAT OUT..... and that's not even a lie at this point. It's currently only happy at half throttle and above. Let off the gas? It screams at you to "PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN YOU PUSSY!" It makes sounds that are scary to passersby. Sounds like... "I'm'a eat your children and crap out devils" sounds. It shreds the rear tires like they're made of ice. It likes to GO GO GO GO GO GO DON'T YOU DARE SLOW DOWN!
But, a couple little things I'm wiggling out. It doesn't idle worth a crap cold. light throttle surge/miss. and it's still rich. I'm thinking that the light throttle surge might be helped when I get it leaned out a little.
