Where can i order one of these? I seem to have somehow misplaced the metal wave lock washer that goes in the round plastic ring lock thingy that holds the headlight in place.
And of course, i just threw out my spare headlight assemblies, so i don't have them.
Is this part going to be on every vehicle with a 9007 bulb?
Is there a reference sheet somewhere that has a list of all vehicles with a 9007 bulb?
Not trying to be a pain in the ass, but all i know that has this thing is an 88-92 MX6/626 and the yards tend to not have them anymore. Thinking it's something i should be able to get for $10 or less to my door, which is cheaper than it'd be for me to grab it from the yard anyways.

I found a list of cars from GE:

I just went and checked my spares since the Neon is on that list, but there's no metal in the assembly at all except for the bulb itself.
If you have a hard time finding one I have a friend who had quite a collection of mx-6 and 626 of that era.
The metal wave lock washer would be inside this thing:

I've not seen one with a metal lock washer in them.....
The retainer is manufacturer specific. I'd phone the Mazda store. It will either be cheap, or not.

Yeah, my thing looks a little different than yours. No metal ring in any of the ones I have.

I just replaced a 9007 bulb in my Jetta - lock ring looks just like that one. Nothing metal about it.
How do you lose that ring?
My ring doesn't look exactly like that one. Was just illustrating what it is that my metal washer thing sits in.
I'm not sure how it was lost. I believe it's probably been lost since before i got the car, and just figured it sat loose on there because the housing was melted or something.
But i finally took the time to look at it, saw nothing broken. Happened to look at the other side that DOES fit tightly, noticed it had the wave lock.
Then proceed to dope slap myself for throwing out about....5 headlight housings the week prior.
