On Thursdays, after work, I alternate between two friend's garages who are restoring Healye 3000s. Been a ritual for about 8 years or so.
Imagine my surprise when I walked in to the shop and rather than a Healey in the late stages of paint preparation, I find this monster up on stands!
Took me a second to figure it out, but the car belongs to another person who was in the Thursday night rotation about ten years ago and then stopped work on the car. It has been under a tarp in his shop ever since. Last time I saw it, it was ready for, but not yet painted.
Turns out the Healey has gone for paint and in the month or so that will take, this red whale is in for some attention. Be nice to work on something that is not British for a change!
