The original Bloody Mary was built in the late 1920s by John and Richard Bolster, supposedly when they were just schoolboys. (That Pinewood Derby car doesn't sound so impressive anymore, does it?) The Bloody Mary would later go to carve out a name for itself across hill climbs and other events with John still behind the wheel.

There's a famous quote by John Bolster, one of the guys who built the original car:
"It was, as Bolster once wrote, built by two schoolboys in 1929 ‘…with the object of driving around a field as dangerously as possible’."

I believe you meant "suspension"
I don't see any suspension on the rear whatsoever, and while I know it's a recreation I doubt that V-twin in a wood body; thing's a paint shaker for an engine.
Sold for $10k. Got to know what this thing is like to drive.
The original is still running in competition today.
