All right, it's been over a month since I updated this. Going back to full time work has its disadvantages I guess. But I'm WFH this week in preparation for surgery Tuesday, so I decided to finish out the last of the wiring.

first off, here's the combined rear and side lights.

again, the idea is to hit one switch and have light on the ground all the way around the bed for camping and night mountain biking.
Power comes out of the distribution box on the psg fender, runs down the psg body seam to the rearmost step bar mount. There it splits.

one leg goes out to the side light on the step bar, the other feeds through the frame crossbar to the driver side although it's behind the the separate wire that feeds the bed lights(out the left in the frame).

On the driver side the line splits with one leg running out to the side light and one following the factory harness to the rear bumper.

This part of the bumper is just plastic trim so it was easy to mount the lights. In this shot they've got a line of electrical tape across the top edge of the lenses. The top edge was blinding in the reverse cam so I'm trying this.

The feed line for the bed lights runs a little further back and then up through the bed floor beside the drain for the retractable tonneau cover.  I didn't get a pic of the wiring, but here are the 8 LED pucks under the bed rails with the tonneau cover closed
theres a little angled section that points them inward but is high enough you can't see the lights themselves and be blinded.

the double sided tape seemed solid...we'll see.

I also cleaned up the wiring around the distribution box but I still haven't pulled the bracket to paint it. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Wow those reverse lights are bright! Before I saw the pic before I read the post, and wondered aloud to myself “Where’d he find a light with those cool eyebrows?” so I think that’s a pretty decent looking mod.

I just picked up some white led pucks similar to the black ones you have in your truck bed and I can definitely attest to the fact that those are bright too.  Seeing yours in action is some nice inspiration; great looking install!

Thanks! I like doing wiring but this is the first time I've really geeked out and gone full bore on wrapping and sealing it. It's kind of cool. I think I'll redo my boat next winter.

the reverse lights have been the surprise of the bunch. I was expecting cheap plastic but they are machined aluminum bases and feel really solid. They're "Kawell" brand off Amazon.

I painted up the brackets. With all the plugs and cable jacketing it was really easy to disassemble.

I "finished" this project almost 5 months ago. Today for the first time I was loading my mountain bike in the truck at 0 dark thirty for an after work ride and thought "I can't see crap in the bed. I wish I had some kind of light ...."

hey dumbass...oh, right.

perfect.  This was the point of the whole thing, lol
