How does one add photos to a post if the pictures aren't on the web already - can they be uploaded?
You have to host them somewhere. Photo bucket, flicker are the common free places.
imgur and picassa are also good solutions.
Photobucket has bandwidth limits that can get annoying at times.
I've had good luck with Flickr.
