Currently I daily drive a 2015 mustang GT performance pack. In my 22 months of ownership I've put 31k miles on the car using snow tires in the winter. Currently the rear OE tires are warn out and in need of replacing. I can't even pick a direction to go, talk some sense into me.
Options.

The all season Pilot sports because they will last longer and I haven't done any high performance driving.

Get Pilot Super Sports because they are rated better than the OE Pirelli.

Anything else you can think of suggest. I like going around turns fast but I know to only go as fast as the tires take me around.

No experience with tires in your size or on your car but if you own snow tires I can't imagine a reason for which you'd get all seasons.

I would look at the new Continental Extremecontact sports. They are the replacement for the DW, which has been my preferred daily driver street tire for a while now. The DW was great in the wet, wore pretty well, had a decent ride, and was capable on track, though certainly a step below the weaponizes 200tw tires. They are also quite reasonably priced. The ECSport is supposedly better in every way as usual, still has a 340 AA A rating.

Basically just because they last longer in theory. I probably only put 15-17k miles on the first set of rear tires. For 2 tires I'm looking at $5-600. I miss driving a Miata when it comes to tires.
BFG Sport Comp 2
I have been running the BFG Sport Comp 2 on the FiST for a while and I really like the amount of grip they deliver. Seems to have good reviews from heavier, RWD cars too.

I agree, go summer tires if you have a dedicated set of snows. I like my Kumho PS91's that I have on my Mustang but any max perf summer tire will fit the bill.

Not quite, Ventus V12s are $652 for the set on tire rack. My buddy just bought a set ($250!? wtf) for his NC and they're great. I run the BFG sport comp-2s on my NA and they're also great for daily non-crazy driving, gonna move them to the gf's NA shortly.
All seasons compromise on tread pattern in order to gain the M+S rating. Treadwear #s aren't something to live and die by but a 300+ rating is a good sign.
+1 on the BFG Sport Comp 2. As far as UHP summer tires go they're the best thing going for $ per tire.
Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 would get my vote. Right now I think it is the bargain tire in the UHP category.

I've been really impressed by them so far. They have been run one auto-x weekend and one SCCA Track Night event, and they are no worse for wear. Like others have mentioned, they are a step down from all the new "200tw" tires, but the life also looks to be a lot longer. Road noise is lower than the stock BRZ tires, and steering feel sharpened up as well.
For a tire that will be used as a daily tire, I don't think you can go wrong.

Yoko S Drives are around that price point too
FWIW, I liked the BFG Sport Comp-2 for about 8-10k miles, at which point the started to get quite loud. Wear has been pretty fast too, and that's just commuting and regular use (albeit at moderately high speeds). I'm looking elsewhere for the next set - I need more than 20k miles out of my DD tires.

Ordered a set based on pricing, performance and tw. I'll let you guys know in a few weeks how I really feel about them.
I just picked up a set of continental dw tires on closeout from the tire rack for $99 bucks a tire (275/40/17) I'd check to see if there are any left in your size. They are being replaced by a new dw tire. With the $70 dollar rebate they cost me 450 shipped. Great reviews and a step above the BFG tire.
(Edit) just saw you ordered tires already. But may be useful for anyone else in the market....
I am happy with the re11's on the Vette. I have no idea how long they will last.

If you own a performance car, I tend to think you should have performance to match. There's a reason you didn't buy a Smart Car. Spirited driving benefits from good tires, not just track stuff. The most recent issue of GRM compared the Continental ExtremeContact tires favorably against the Super Sports and their price is decent-ish.
I should have checked the Mail before I bought the tires. Looks like my accountant made an error and I'm getting 1/2 the money back that I paid in extra taxes this year. Maybe I'll buy myself a new bike or something.
Well when you get $$$$ ahead and are looking again....I'm currently running Cooper Zeon RS3-A's on my 2010CTS-V (275-40R-19) tread ware 500 traction AA temp A at a little over $155 per corner from Pep boyz delivered to the house. This is after running a set of Michelin AS-3's which barely lasted 25K. Oh and there is a perf model of this cooper too...

Agreed. And IMO, even an non-performance car deserves decently grippy tires. I've had a few moments where someone did something spectacularly stupid right in front of me and having decently sticky tires instead of rock-hard all seasons almost certainly made the difference between missing them by a foot or hitting them.

Thanks for this. Was going to go with the gold standard (for noise/traction anyway) Bstone RE760 & almost got interested in these. Cautiously eyeing the Fstone Indy 500 & can't figure out why they're ~$20 cheaper than RE760's they supposedly replace.

There is always some type of compromise, I'm sure you wouldn't recommend I run RE71r tires for the best performance all the time.
Ordered the Firehawk Indy 500 tires and I'll see how they work out. Worst case is I hate them and do a massive burnout when the fronts need replaced and get a complete set of something else.
