I think that the ship as sailed on me turboing my Insight. Now I have a variety of turbo parts let about to have fun with. Specifically I am interested in upgrading the power on my 9-3, maybe. There are send away services but those aren't cheap and so very boring to do. Anyone heard of an FIC being run on the 9-3 of this year? I understand (vaguely) that there are a variety of ECUs used on the 9-3 throughout the years and I will need to figure out that bit at some point. Anyway, end of rambling. I did a quick google search without any obvious results.

Very few people would bother to do so, and as far as I know nobody has done it. Saab T8 engine management is very good, quite robust, and better understood every single year. An FIC would accomplish nothing relative to what can be done with the stock ECU.

As Dizzy said, the trionic ECUs are pretty capable. The easy button is having someone like Brew City Boost or Jak Stoll do a tune for you. The hard way, and probably better for any real customization would be learning all about T7Suite/T8Suite software, trionictunig.com, and saab-tuners.com.

Good to know, I have done very little research on what is required.
