I've bought cars all over the country, but always take a bus or plane out and drive home. I'm considering buying a rolling shell out of Philly, but don't have any good ideas on transport. Hauling the trailer both ways with the expedition would cost more than the car... Does anyone have any clever and cheap options?

Yeah, a dolly is going to cost about $50 and gas will be $250-$300. Plus food and a hotel room. The entire thing ends up somewhere in the $400-$500 range plus about a day and a half of time. Uship is quoting about $580 for door to door transport that's looking like the best bet.

Many car shippers will not touch anything that does not run.
