Getting ready to put an aftermarket back-up camera on the Yukon, wanting to get some input.  I've seen a bunch with bad reviews, but haven't found any with overwhelming good reviews.  I'd like it to put out an image better than me looking through the bottom of a coke bottle that's still got something left in it and won't crap out 2 months down the road.  What do y'all recommend?

Interested. My double din in my excursion has review camera capabilities. I been thinking about getting a camera.

Tons of detail here...  http://dashcamtalk.com/

Edit: oops, I read wrong, you are looking for a back-up camera.  This won't help you much but might help others looking for dash-cams.

I'm watching this as well I'd like a good Wireless set up for my Toy hauler trailer to help back it down the fence line and under the canopy at home.   All the good ones I've seen are wired with Co-ax so running 65 ft or more would be a pain plus i'd have to have another conection at the hitch.  Truck and trailer are 58ft bumper to bumper.

There are some wireless one out there just for RV's but there still in the $3-400 range.  Now that i think about it i wonder if "theres an App for that" on two cell phones?

I'd also like to know what's out there in the wireless realm. It's a pain in the ass to park my enclosed trailer.

OP, I went with a generic $20 camera from Amazon for my 05 Yukon. It screwed to the license plate bolt holes and worked well. Had some LED/IR sort of illumination to help out at night.

I installed a wireless camera system in our horse trailer. Three cameras inside plus one backup camera. It was a reputable make that I paid $500 for. It sucked. Constant interference, poor resolution, random cut outs, etc. I boxed it up and returned it.

I ended up going with a no name wired system from Amazon. Under $100 and it works flawlessly. YMMV but that was my experience.

I use my GoPro hero 3's wi-fi setup feature to help me hook the truck to the trailer. It's important to know that there's a delay, though. I move, wait to see what the result was, then move again. It's slightly better than walking back there all the time.

Not much to ad here, other than why don't we have HD quality back up cameras now?  We have the technology dammit.  Displays have gotten larger, but the camera resolution seems stuck in 2007.

Aftermarket, I went with a $20 Amazon special for my truck.  Looks as good as the OEMs, which harkens back to the days of analog TV.
