Hey guys,

Did a search but couldn't seem to find any info (even in the Ohio meeting thread). Wanted to get a more aggressive alignment for my stock (but hungry for autocross) 2013 WRX in the Akron/Cleveland area (new to the area). Was hoping to get some suggestions from locals (or otherwise) who are on here. General pointers to a good, reliable performance shop in the area would be helpful knowledge as well.

In the same vein, getting to know some local GRMers would be awesome. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I took my Miata to NTB in north Olmsted with the numbers ingot for the Miata forum. They had those and a few others from other Miata guys who autocrossed. This was a few years back, but they had a nice Evo and a STi owned by two of the workers in the bay.

Noted...will avoid. Just looking for a decent shop in the area, as I will be throwing a downpipe and perhaps some other goodies at this car in the near future. I suppose if I can't find a shop that anyone here can vouch for, I'll just wait till my next trip back to NY to get any major mods thrown on :-\

You might want to ask around the forum section of NORA aka: The Akron Sports Car Club

Galatis in North Olmsted (westside) or Swedish Solution in Cleveland Hts (eastside), Kryder racing in Canal Fulton.(Canton)

You might think about doing your own alignment. Toe and camber are both fairly simple, and can be done with homemade junk from the hardware store. Summit racing is in the akron area (Tallmadge) you can buy already made alignment gear from them for what you would pay a shop.

Appreciate the input guys!

Westsidetalon: Will look into those shops, thanks for the tips jere: Unfortunately, I really don't have the time to do an alignment myself. I am a bit of a perfectionist, and while the DIY approach appeals to me, the work schedule makes it pretty impossible. I am having trouble finding time to drop the car off for the alignment, let alone do it myself...

As long as you know what settings you want, does it really matter where you take it? A lot of placed have digital machines and can print out the settings you are got. So as long as they don't leave anything important loose, you should be good to go.

If you are looking for a place to recommend settings, that is different. There HAS to be so e tried and true settings for then13 WRX available online.

I suppose you're right. I do know the settings that I want, so getting any shop to do them shouldn't be an issue. I guess when I was in NY, I was used to using/trusting shops that someone had already had prior good experiences with...I like to do some research and minimize the chance of having a poor experience. I appreciate the input from everyone who chimed in!
