one v8? Wonder how well that'll play.

We have 3 of the new 5.0L V8s for managers and 3 of the 6.2L in shop trucks

They play very well.

Honestly the 5.0 has more than that truck needs. We (meaning I) went WAY over on the GCVWR returning with a power unit from a customer (Let's just say if we were using a F-250 you would have to have it optioned right to not be overloaded)

The 6.2 feels anemic, almost industrial in it's power delivery. Reminds me of the old 7.4L 460s before they sent them out to pasture. You knew there was alot more there but stock it just wasn't.

We also have 2 EcoBoosts. Jury still out on them.

I didn't think new vehicle headlights could get any uglier. I was wrong.

that seems to be the main thing that the styling departments are working on these days- Ford saw that Chevy had fugly headlights, so they just had to make theirs slightly fuglier just to be able to say that they won... in a couple of years, Chevy will redesign their headlights and Ford will be forced to respond..

They're clearly ripping off Aston Martin.

Also, being all aluminum don't park it in a bad neighborhood. Just thing how fast you could take all the AL off that thing with a few guys armed with CP714s and nitrogen bottles.

Don't like the looks. I really think they're trying to go after the Tundra, but don't really need to.

actually, unless the snow is deeper than 14 inches or VERY soft, dirt bikes are quite fun in the snow.

Best thing I read in there was that the bed sides are an inch shorter and the window beltline is 1-2 inches lower as well. Perhaps we've passed the high tide mark for belt lines.

I like it okay. I didn't catch mileage ratings, I'm interested in seeing those.

Who would have believed five years ago that one of the big three would be selling a full size truck with a 2.7 liter engine? Wild.

If people didn't want luxury in their trucks, they wouldn't buy it. It's not the people at Ford.

Psst, Kenny, trucks don't rust in the South, and we've been selling millions of them there for decades. People don't only buy new cars as the prior one has returned to the earth.

So, if I wanted to find a car (or truck) with no ac, crank up windows, hydraulic power steering, cable throttle, and plain am/fm/cd with no touch screen navigation and backup camera assist, by your logic, Id be able to find one...right?...RIGHT???

I never said "Well, I will buy this one instead of that one because this one has cup warmers and I like warm lates more than I like being able to hang the ass out around corners when Im feeling frisky".

The problem is that you mistake what YOU want for what EVERYONE wants. I would bet my own hard-earned money the vast majority of customers (you know people who actually buy new cars), couldn't care less about drive-by-wire or electric power steering, and they want power windows and A/C.

Seriously? You're complaining that A/C is a standard item these days?

And yes, you can also get a NEW F-150 without touchscreen navigation and a backup camera. But you would have actually needed to go to their web site to spec on out instead of just using endless hyperbole here.

Looks better than the 2014 model. The aluminum body doesn't bother me, but doesn't aluminum still corrode in some fashion?

Looks are fine, though I don't know what's up with that thing sticking into the side of the headlight. I'm personally intrigued by the aluminum construction and curious to see what kind of fuel economy benefits it can provide. Though I'm still somewhat skeptical, given my long-held belief that the limiting factor for fuel economy in full-size trucks is the size of the hole in the air that they punch, at least at higher speeds.

If I were in the market, I'd give it a long look, personally.

Whenever car makers make something approaching what you want they don't sell, they sit around on lots and end up getting massively discounted, so they just don't make them anymore.
