For a couple cars that are that special, I believe I would rather have Legendary Motorcar do that restoration. But that's just my opinion.
The discussions on the Pontiac web boards indicate these cars weren't exactly 'discovered', they've been known about for several years. They were sold on eBay sometime in the last year to a flipper, who turned around and sold them to Gas Monkey.

Yeah but Legendary would take like 18 months to restore those cars, Gas Monkey will do it in 18 hours and have them to a no reserve auction where they can lose money in under 3 days.

Pretty sure it is real, hokey and campy at times but, real. Have seen pictures from friend's visits there on vacation. Kinda doubt they were sworn to secrecy and in on the charade.

All those "reality" shows are scripted for maximum interest to the viewing public. Of course he didn't "find" them and the show probably purchased them and set it all up to appear that he found them. Pretty sure most people don't go looking for cars with an entire film crew with them. Those type of shows just get goofier every season. Having said that I actually think Graveyard Cars improved a little over the previous seasons and that was formally the bottom of the barrel.

That funky monkey.

They'd do it with a bit more respect for the cars, for sure. They shouldn't be getting bum's rush restos.
Interesting that they ended up in CT. Certainly an awesome find.

What the curse word for? Publicity stunt?
That is pretty much guaranteeing corners will be cut. Hell the metal finishing and paint on the Ferrari 250 I am doing took over 120 days. It isn't an auction or museum car though. It has to be built well enough for the customer to live with it.
