Get some decent filters and paint them.  Or make some covers that are powdercoated the color you like.  Classic Ferrari owners also use Frams because of the color (and price).  Thankfully many don't get driven enough to have issues it seems.

Every Fram I've ever used on my Chrysler 2.2's caused lifter clatter.  Every.  One.  Put a Purolator or similarly decent filter on with the same oil type and the clatter goes away.  Those filters are also used on Dodge Vipers and other large Chrysler engines and the oil system in the 2.2 isn't exactly complex.  On something like the above, I'd not be worried about the color of the filter, but the capabilities and construction of the filter.  Just me though.
