The L98 was iron block w/ aluminum heads if it came from a Corvette, and it makes those numbers.
They are not an easy swap though, better to make power with what you have. I think the front sump 5.0 was the go to although I did see this in the junkyard one day:
Yeah the LS swap is pretty involved even with an auto transmission. I'm going to get it going using what it has. And if not, 2JZ it is!
