Everyone knows 'Murakins don't like hatches.....unless they're on the back of a 2.5 ton CUV. Personally, I like that hatch better than the coupe.
So it's our fault that BMW doesn't bring a car over by their choice?
I'll have to remember that logic when other OEM's are bashed for not bringing cars to the US. It works.

I'll take that one
I want one of those soooo bad. Only 13 more years...
I wish Renault would come back to the states.
Well, we kinda get a 1 Series hatch with 4 doors:
This was only available overseas, and now it is here, so there is hope.

My tongue was firmly in my cheek when I wrote that, but your point about it being our fault is true. People don't flock to hatches, or manual transmission so we don't get them. I used to love business trips to Europe so I could drive stick shift, diesel rentals at speed.

Then I must not be a 'murikan. I hate CUVs, and for most cars, given the choice between sedan, hatch or wagon, sedan would be my last choice. I even liked the C7 corvette shooting brake conversion that was discussed here a while back more than any other 'vette ever.
I'm with you. I keep dreaming of building a shooting brake out of a Miata.
