Cool! Surprised to see the 2.5 under there. Notice how the fan made it's own clearance on the shroud?
Yep, I remember watching those race back in the day, It was so cool. The SCCA region in Atlanta still runs an ITT class. Improved Touring Truck. Surprised to see how much of the interior is in it, thought it would have been stripped out. Looks so stock under the hood too.
Side note, new season of Archer starts in January. Get your Scotch and tactical turtle necks ready!

That's an inspection hole so you can see that it's running
That was such a cool series to watch. I came real close to buying one of the Saleen Rangers about 20 years ago.
Wow very cool! There was one for sale awhile back, but it seemed sketchy. It was more like a street truck built by the team but not raced. This ones seems like the real deal. I want it so badly. This is what we drooled over while we were building the XJ-R.
If no one has actually seen these race, check this video out. 48 minutes worth.

That truck series was the first I ever heard the term "bump drafting". The Archer bros. did it to get a lead. Then they'd fight it out for the win.
I always thought they ran larger motors. That 2.5L looks almost stock. It seems like that would have to be pretty slow.
They were stock. There were very few modifications that could be done. Watch the first few minutes of the video I posted above, they talk about what mods they were allowed.
