I'm trying!
I want to buy a top of the line Kia Soul and the kis salesman tells me a stick is only available in the two base models.
Edit:
And the mysterious third pedal was a big help driving home 26 miles with no brakes.

In reply to 914Driver:
I noticed you have a Samurai. How do you like it? I like the long wheelbase model. It reminds me of the old Ford Bronco truck models with the short bed. I've been wanting a 4x4, never owned one. Why is it that everything I like is from the 80's and hard to find?! AGHHH!!
My wife and I have actually had a discussion on a very similar problem/potential issue to this. Both of us have decided that in lieu of having our own children, we'd be better off as foster parents. And because we're both stubborn as hell, we also decided we wanted the challenge of taking in at risk teens. I figured we should keep the manuals we have now, to lessen the chance of a potential auto theft by adolescent. Most of today's kids are lazy, I wouldn't expect any of our charges to be able to steal one of our cars, assuming they could A- find the keys, B- get it started, and C- figure out how any of them go into reverse (I have a 5 speed shift knob on a 6 speed trans in my car, and anyone that has ever driven a Mini knows the Germans are silly about where they hide reverse in that car.)
In reply to Fletch; yeah it's great off-road. 187:1 gears and a narrow light wheelbase pisses off the Jeep guys. Great entry angles mean you can stand on the headlights and not get in trouble (unless the wife is with you)
Thwart means to have your intention interrupted. Or you were not able to complete something you wanted to do.

Right, but what does "twart" mean?

lol!
I am not sure abut that one!
A lwb Samarai.....who knew?
On my last trip to Fl. from Tn. I saw a couple Sammis but all were the "soft top" models. It looks like folks are starting to drag them out of their backyards, again, even tho this time gas prices are steadily decent.
I'm also starting to see a resurgence, of sorts, of Geo metros on my local CL.
Apparently, all the GOOD '80s automotive "stuff" has gone to the crusher.
Noticed that too... Twart=thwart?
saw this gem too; but the suspect can't driver her manual transmission.

The urban dictionary will give you WAY MORE information on this than most will want to know.
As in I am not going to post the link as it is probably not appropriate here. You have to go find it for your self.
Actually I can post this one. The rest I am not touching!!!
A variation of a Twitter message. A somewhat negative reference that the post came from the person's backside. ie: Tweet + fart.
